Wabi what?

I thought I might be interested in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi.
So I downloaded a book about it from Audible and had a listen.
I came to the conclusion that it’s a little bit precious and rather based on pretentious sentimentality.
And taken possession of by pretentious wealthy people.
