Red-fronted Macaw

A long overdue visit to Edinburgh Zoo. The weather was just ideal for all the walking we did .... up and down the many rather steep roads and paths.

The red-fronted macaw comes from a small mountainous area of Bolivia. It is a critically endangered species but fortunately it has been successfully bred in captivity.
