Had a wander around Bitts Park in Carlisle this morning prior to getting groceries.  Good to see lots of flowers still around.  Had a chat with a guy I know from the village who was clearing leaves there with a big machine.  He asked where Misty was :(  Spent an hour in the garden this afternoon until it started drizzling.  Was so pleased when looking out the window later on to see not one but two Blackbirds!!!  They've been absent from the garden for quite a few months.  Hopefully they will tell their mates that there's lots and lots of apples for them.
