Another of Liverpool’s famous faces at Liverpool Lime Street as we started the journey home. Both our trains were on time and we got to Edinburgh just after half three and my sister headed home to Porty and I made my way to the bus station for my bus at half four.
It wasn’t until we got to Kinross Park and Ride that the driver told us we would be heading through Fife to avoid the massive hold ups being caused by the roadworks at St Maddoes. I don’t like travelling bumpy, twisty, country roads in the dark and had I known this beforehand I’d have waited for a later bus coming directly down the motorway. I felt really unwell by the time I got to Dundee and was glad of the walk through town to the taxi rank to recover a bit.
Steph, the cat sitter, was great while I was away - sending updates, photos and videos of Tibbsy and Tootsie while I was away and I was just glad to get home and see them. Of course there were fireworks going off all over the place and both cats were scared and it took ages to calm Tootsie down, I had to wrap her up tightly in a blanket and hold onto her until it calmed down. Tibbsy wasn’t so bad, he hid in the bedroom and I put music on for him.
The sooner there’s a ban on selling fireworks to the public the better…
