To Verona. 

An early start to make sure we don't miss the bus (coach rather than town bus) to Verona.  We opted for the direct bus over train which involved a change.  All very efficient but we sat behind the driver who watched Instagram videos almost all the way there.  We made it to Verona unscathed despite him. 

We found our apartment, overlooking this beautiful square, Piazza delle Erbe.  

A mooch round the town between showers but by the evening it absolutely pelted down for hours so we took refuge in an empty restaurant across the square where we watched the rain bouncing and people running to escape the downpour.
