Decided to pop in on Tom and Eden after the school run so I could take her up to playgroup - children are good company on a day like today! Mine were amazed with me at the US election results but quickly moved on to more pressing matters like the advantages of arriving at school earlier than I tend to get them there… (not late I hasten to add - just a minute or so before the gate closes!) and Eden happily identified the colour of each door we walked past - what more conversation do you need?

What a feat as a 78 year old, facing 3 criminal charges and convicted of another, plus a whole load of civil cases - and having insulted all sorts of demographics and caused all sorts of scandals - to then go on to win the election to become president of a country! No wonder younger generations are slow to trust or respect leadership figures in their lives! On the plus side - at least now it’s far less likely there will be a load of violence in the USA, given that the other side has conceded graciously…
