The Chess Men

I used to be a prolific reader but then work took over my life and all I read was trashy novels. Now I am ‘retired’ I’ve got back into reading proper stuff again!
While I was on holiday in the Highlands I saw Peter May’s first book of a trilogy set on the Isle of Lewis. I made sure with the bookseller I was getting the first in the series and she confirmed I was! An absolutely excellent read and so of course had to get the other two. The Lewis Man I got out of the library and then at Barter Books in Alnwick I saw the third. Haven’t been able to put that one down either :-)
