2024 Monday — Decisions

I can hardly believe that it is time to paint this house. She was last painted in December 2015. So nine years later we are going to do it again.

We have discovered that the door we thought was solid wood, is not. Several years ago when the door was looking quite weathered, we hired a handyman to re-varnish the wood. As he sanded the wood in preparation, he discovered that the panels in the door are a veneer — as he sanded them — ugh!

So we are going to have the door painted. The decision now is which color to select — the darker color used for the trim or the lighter color used for the walls.
