The result
Felt inevitable waking up to this this morning, but the world must go on.
I swam - felt good to be back, but no news on last night's disturbances and no signs either. Came home to send a few emails and then off to Cameron Toll for the eye test.
All is well, no problems and once again my sight has improved - the benefits of starting off short sighted. The optometrist was Canadian and the assistant who helped me choose my new frames from Berwick, Victoria, an area I know well.
Then to town to, guess what, look at phones. Unlike Curry's there was no-one in JL to speak to but I did pick up the various models and feel them and look. Helped me make a decision.
Decided to have a quick coffee in the cafe. Quick it was not. 5 folk serving but because only one can operate the coffee machine there was the usual backlog, plus they had run out of tea pots. I was having peppermint. That meant a quick trot to Princes Street to hop a #11 to the Lyceum.
Good session and word about next term and the production. Had a bit of a wait for a #47 going home but no hardship as it is so mild, like spring. I switched the heating off but got home to find I'd left the garage lights on, 2 days ago. Explains why the IHD was showing larger than usual consumption. Also shifted the wine from the safe place to the garage and put out the brown bin.
As usual on a Wednesday quick tea and catch up with the US news, depressing though it is then off to choir. S was off so our accompanist, D, took the rehearsal. I thought he did really well. There were a couple of locally depressing messages about work before we started. Looks like Plan B is goosed so an 'emergency' call tomorrow.
Finally home to sit down and watch ep of 'Shetland' accompanied by a G&T. I also caught up with C and L's journey to Hanoi via Dubai. Looks like a quick turnaround at DBX. Then bed.
Could the world stop - I really do want to get off.
Apparently this is entry 5000, but then I did back blip from before my start date.
