Thankful

Dad was very thankful for his coffee and toast when we took him out this morning.
We had a lovely visit with him.

In the afternoon we went to Joan’s funeral - his wife. Sadly he was not able to come because of his dementia. He has hardly mentioned her since she died over a month ago and we didn’t feel that the funeral would help him at all or that he would connect it with Joan.

My sister and I gave a tribute on his behalf and expressed our thankfulness to Joan for the love and support she gave dad for 14 years.
