Diwali parade

I woke up early this morning packed my lunch and had a quick breakfast and some tea before heading to Akash's place.  Akash had very kindly tied  the turban and made some tea for me. Everytime I feel like I meet him, I feel like he is my big brother! It's always nice to take his blessings before the performance.

I then reached Pleasance and was met by good compliments from the other members over the turban. Jennifer said that S had not sorted out his turban yet. S kindly helped me tie the chadra and I made an attempt at his turban with my novice skills. We managed but I don't think it was very good.

At St Andrews Sq, I saw T, a fellow member of the new buddist community I have joined. She mentioned that she is volunteering today to help out with the Diwali event and was responsible for EBC's whereabouts today. Max and Maya arrived later and I greeted them until it was time to be in the actual parade. The pink people were handed Kundas and all others were given sapps. We had alot of fun, a lot of photos taken by newspapers and other people watching.

Next, Tom, Silivia and Hidhir came just before the second performance. I was able to greet them. My colleague and friend Kulpreet and his wife also came along. They took photos with the rest of the EBC members.

I went to Pleasance after the performance to get my bag. When I returned I met Tom near the Ross Bandstand. I came in just about time to see my dance teacher, Raj's performance. She along with the rest of members of the group was amazing.

I then met with the rest of the EBC people and saw my friend Kat. Kat and Max have been have issues which only seems to be escalting from one or both ends. As the in between friend, I feel like I have been two faced. In an attempt to resolve the issue, speaking to the other about the problems has caused me to involved in the conflict. When I asked Kat about it, she mentioned that it is not such a big issue that Max cannot communicate to her on his own and got upset. It overwhelmed me for the rest of the night. Max, Maya along with Maya's side of family came along to the final fireworks. I didn't spend too much time with them but I broke down as I felt horrible about this entire situation between them.

There were some fireworks later that I saw with Tom and Hidhir. I noted that some members of EBC were going for dinner at Tuk Tuk. I decided to go there for bit just because I was feeling a bit miserable. At the dinner, the discussion seemed like about S but other than that it was nice to speak to Sumetha, Shareen and Ashwin!
