The fish passage at the Roptagemaal attracts fish that want to move towards fresh water in a special way. The siphon installation in the dike pumps the fresh water from the polder ditch to a large concrete tank on the sea side. Where the fresh water flows from the tanks, large concentrations of fish gather.
