Guarding Her Berries

The mistle thrush that I blipped last week has been back every day since, chasing any chancers away from her berries. I assume it's a female, but if anyone knows otherwise I can always edit the entry later.

She is a bit mean really. There are loads to go round. She can't possibly eat them all.

Last night's Historical Society talk was interesting but a bit strange. After a preamble explaining about St Kenelm most of the talk was a series of photographs taken along the length of St Kenelm’s Way, which runs from the Clent Hills to Winchcombe.

The photos weren't that great, and they were all on 35mm slides. I thought I would at least be able to see when the talk was over as the last slide went in, but then the speaker announced a short delay while he changed the slides, and then went on for another 40 minutes!

There was a bar again this month, but no £2 a pint beer. I'd decided anyway that I wasn't going to have that again, as I was unwell after the last time. I heard somebody ask why there wasn't any and the bar person said last time it was a bit off, well past its best!

In other news we filled in some pre-appointment forms for our dentist check ups next week. We have been forced to sign up to a private plan as our dentist was stopping NHS work. Considering it is a dental questionnaire there were some very strange questions/'yes or no' options:

I would like younger looking skin
I am concerned about the appearance of wrinkles on my face

I said no to both of these of course.
