A cloudy scene

It was a grey cloudy day and I decided to go for a morning walk to the beach. I was hoping to see a kingfisher and the snow buntings. After looking in the usual spots for the kingfisher I didn’t see any. I then slowly wandered around the estuary area coming back along the beach ridge. I hadn’t spotted the snow buntings and neither had others l had spoken to. I was just giving up on them when they hopped out at the side of the path. They are very well camouflaged amongst the pebbles. I took today’s blip just before I saw the birds. It is looking up the estuary with a large cloudy skyscape for today’s Wide Wednesday.

I hadn’t really thought the birds were snow buntings as their behaviour was different ie they were hopping around quickly so l just took a phone shot and looked at it when l was back home.

Otherwise it was a relaxed afternoon and then off to the local photography club.
