This Could Be...

Either the cocoon of Froghopper Spittlebug larvae, some sort of spider larvae or maybe Mucorales fungi. My phone's Google Lens and my laptop one have different opinions! This was taken on a walk along the river bank late afternoon. 

Otherwise today I have cleared down e-mails, used up the last of my foraged apples by baking a small crumble and done a white wash load!
And after our walk we bought some Ciabatta from Tesco, making it a very long walk!
