Anticyclonic Gloom!

The news is reporting that Britain is trapped under an anticyclonic gloom which is why the weather has been, and indeed is, stuck in a rut of mist, fog, drizzle and low cloud for weeks!

Apparently it just means high pressure has trapped a layer of moisture near the earths surface...and the forecast experts claim is won't shift until 18th November!! Surely not...

Anyway, in my book, no weather system should be allowed to have the word gloom in it's name!

I took this photo from my garden as I headed off for an evening stroll negotiating said gloom. :-P
