The Converse of loose is tight

Still ugh today, stuffed up to kingdom come and my voice doesn't work properly.  I managed to get through most of a working day but ran out of steam with half an hour to go, and went for a lie down until it was time to go to the salon.  I knew my FFP3 masks would come in handy again.  Frankly, the coughing-hacking-spluttery lady sitting a few seats from me on the bus on Saturday should have been wearing one.

A month ago tomorrow I hinted at a lacing technique I'd read about that could help unsecured tongues on shoes stay put.  Most shoes these days have a bit you poke the laces through, but my old Converse don't have that.  The pattern is called 'over-under' and it feels unintuitive to tighten or loosen, but I've been trying it out and hot diggity dog, it really works!
