Careering Downhill
I checked the lake edge again today and with the breeze and a few brave waves the cyanobacteria has dispersed, leaving only the usual flotsom. Not sure I'm wanting to drink or bathe in the water for a few days yet though.
The morning was taken up with talking to a couple of local secondary schools visiting the Forest. They wanted a short presentation on the History of the Forestry Commission and some career guidance, before going to do their own thing - map reading and testing water purity. Ironic really that at the top of the hill the stream water is some of the least contaminated in England, but by the time it reaches the bottom it's full of blooming toxins.
