Dad's Book

A good friend came for a fun coffee visit this morning but I didn’t think about a photo.
I started this ages ago and have blipped various pages along the way, HERE but now it’s done…. There is a good story about my Dad’s book and these pages in the middle.    At our Fall family birthday party I see Oskar off by himself reading the whole book..and then going to the internet and eventually announcing that his Great Grandfather’s invention (capping machine) lives!  Here is a little better photo of it from this summer.    He found Swan-Matic to be one of several of this type of machinery companies run by a company called Automation Devices Inc.  It says they’ve (Swan Matic)  been in business since 1947.  Yes!  in our basement!  (I was 7)   then he got a shop.   So O wrote to the president of ADI to see what they knew about it’s history (since I was always told the guys Dad sold  to in 1969 went bankrupt)  and received a very long and interesting reply about how good they are for small jobs, particularly during covid,  never needing repairs or parts, but alas, no knowledge of how they took this one on…but he was thrilled to hear from Oskar and will try to find more out.  That kid is so fun and interesting.   I never thought to look it up.  Will post more if it comes along.

Extra:  I can’t walk as far as the boatyard so am missing seeing what’s there…so H keeps me posted..this is a coast guard vessel being converted for  (hard to read)  Viet Nam with a nice reflection.  soon the leaves will be gone. ( Well, it won't upload.  sorry... will try again)
