Ourobos

Ourobos - the latest commission by the National Gallery of Australia (controversial because of it's expense) has now been unveiled!  We went to a very interesting curator talk (link has more info on the artist Lindy Lee and the exhibition), and I got my first chance to see the completed work. Included in extras a picture I took back in August(?) when they were mid-installation.

Most interesting question from the talk - since the artwork was based on sustainable practices, what had happened to the holes (ie the stainless steel that had been laser cut out to make the holes), were they being recycled?  Yes indeed.
