Back blip

We both did some work online in the morning in our room, then Bb went off to meet J, a friend and ex-colleague for lunch and to get information on their former company’s pension scheme.

In the afternoon I did some marking and had a wander along Gran Via. I wanted a look in the Clark’s shoe shop (nothing suitable) and then popped into another big shop in a gorgeous old building, where I took this stained glass window shot. The other window, less grand, but still pretty, shows the view from our usual bedroom here.

Bb and I met up at night, had a wander and some croquettas for dinner in a nearby terrace (the place near the record shop, on a corner). Bb had had had a big lunch and I’d had a later lunch of tostadas with pate and gherkins on the terrace of my little favourite place on the square by the Opera House.

The US election result dominated the news today.
