Vusani & Danny

Today is my lovely mom's birthday! Been thinking about her all day and enjoying nattering via WhatsApp.
Danny and I had our usual Thursday morning coffee date - this time we took chairs and flasks to The Tree. It felt necessary to go somewhere peaceful and restorative after a very strange few days. The peace was tangible. Next to noone around, a big double rainbow in the sky (that I couldn't capture well), time to talk, look at the sea, smell the herbs and salt.... Ground ourselves!
This afternoon Asha and I went off to the orthodontist to have her braces tightened. The dentist is delighted by the positive impact the brace is already having - we can already see change!
The walk home took a while as every wild cat seemed to want Asha's attention - which she gave willingly.
Home and Alanna and her daughter, and Vu, came round for tea. Sadly Gemma's still unwell so she didn't make it. Great to have an evening of fun, deep chat, laughter, good music, zulu worship songs etc etc...
Then late night Tux came out from under the bed and insisted Asha cuddle him. He seems to have his hours back to front. He spends all day silent under the bed, then from 11ish (til 6ish!!) he comes out to play, meow, and look around!!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) My mom's birthday!
2) Time to be still with Danny.
3) A lovely evening with special people. Vu is actually about to leave Ibiza and go work elsewhere for the winter. He's a singer and entertainer!
