Atlantes

Statues depicting Atlas carry the weight of The Mitchell Library on their shoulders.

The Mitchell atlantes were salvaged from the St Andrew’s Halls destroyed by fire in 1962.

And of course Glasgow would not be Glasgow nowadays without a traffic cone lurking somewhere in a photograph.
