Hooligans

Off at lunchtime to The Palmerston, a new noshery along at Palmerston Place and to meet up with P&K. His first outing for months following a couple of months treatment; he’s currently enjoying a gap in treatment till part two begins on Monday. Gawd, it can’t be easy but he was good company and he enjoyed the eats which he hasn’t always done this past while.
And later, out again - to see another Europa Conference League game -  the big time! A team I’d never heard of -  FC Heidenheim from the Bundesliga top flight so presumably rather good.  In fact they were well second best and we played some terrific stuff, repeatedly carving them open. But… we’re not at the bottom of the league for nothing. Can we actually pop it in the onion bag? We cannot. And they could - twice, in the second half. Still, we appreciated the effort. Three games to go and one point might just be enough so extend our European caper into the new year. That would be something, eh?
