Gently down the stream

Kingship

Another day when it began to get dark by 2pm and was bloomin' cold.  Needing to get out of the wind I went back to the Cathedral for my blip.  This is the portrait of a king painted on the outside of a medieval mortuary chest where his bones once lay.  The chest is mid 15th centuary and the bones mid 12th centuary.  But the bones all got jumbled with other royalty and no-one knows which belong to whom.  Not really much of an obit, but it's a lovely bit of painting!

Nothing else to report except I did my first fragment of Christmas shopping - two red candles from the Oxfam shop for the dinner table ;)))

Have a happy evening, all, and remember - thank goodness - there's more to life than politics  ;))  xxx
