Birthday treat

I have taken today off work so I could have a leisurely birthday and I did! After a bit of a lie in I went for a swim and then for a relaxing walk round town. 
Charles was busy with the Poppy Appeal, collecting money at one of the Tesco stores. So I had the afternoon to listen to music, read the papers, take Max for a walk - just nice.
Then we went to Kirkcudbright for a meal. It was the opening day for a new fish restaurant, the Swally 'n Scran - fantastic! What a brilliant place. Amazing food, good wine, lovely set up and friendly staff. We will be back!
