The Boathouse

We had hoped for some blue skies and sunshine today but sadly it was more anticyclonic gloom.
We’d planned to go to Dunbar for the day but Mr P wanted to catch the last of the autumn colours, so we opted for our favourite walk around the Glen Estate instead. We packed a picnic which we ate at the bench by the boathouse once we’d walked the loop, I wish I’d packed some hot soup at it was rather chilly. We warmed up at the pool in the Hydro and then treated ourselves to an M & S dine in for two meal.
Son no 2 and his girlfriend have gone to Glasgow for the weekend. It feels very quiet in the house without them.
I caught up with the new series of Shetland and Masterchef the Professionals on iPlayer in the evening.
