Shifting da Horses
A fine enough day, fairly calm, dry and cloudy. T-shirt weather again, but chilly when the early evening started.
Last shift on the toon essykert. Another day working with Philip and young Steven. Mostly residential black bag waste around the Sound areas. Thank goodness that week is over, hopefully not have to smell another rotten pumpkin again. Washed the essykert inside and out, before our shift ended. Walkies with Sammy after work, then a fish supper at Madeline's her birthday. Working in the shop this evening, a busy night. Early to bed tonight.
Another busy day on the essykert with black bags, but there are things that slow is down from time to time. This morning it was a pony and horses. Estelle (Smith) was moving them via the road to a different park, due to bonfires and fireworks due this weekend. Not only could the fireworks scare the horses, our essykert could do the same. We pulled off the road, keeping a safe distance away, until they passed, then we went on our way again. First time Estelle has moved all three, she said it was a success and thanked us too. Taken on Kantersted Road, Sandveien in background, Lerwick.
