Last Grasshopper Hopping

While walking with the Frenchies this afternoon, I was surprised by a grasshopper flying up at the approach of one of the dogs.
It landed just a short distance away.
We've had nighttime temperatures down to 35°F (2.5°C) frequently in the last two weeks.
This fellow has a hearty nature for sure. He scratched my itch for a macro photo nicely.
