Georgie

This is Georgie, my cousin Sian's adorable little girl. We couldn't get her to look away from Peppa Pig (a personal favourite of mine as well) but I like how serious and intent she looks!

I felt like a real tourist today! We went into the city to see Central Quay, the harbour bridge and the Sydney Opera House. I've seen it all before but not for ages so it was nice to wander around in the sunshine and admire everything. Sydney really is far more visually spectacular than Melbourne because it has two super recognisable landmarks.

Divya and I walked through the Botanic Gardens and then met up with a friend of hers and headed for the Rocks, the oldest part of Sydney. Last time I was properly in Sydney we stayed here, but I was so sick with a virus that I have no real memory of it. It's actually really lovely, with cobbled streets and nice old buildings. It was cool too meet Divya's friend, too - she's moving to Melbourne next year so we might see each other again!

After a lunch of pancakes, we battled train delays to get back out to Oliver Brown again so I could meet Sian and Georgie. This was the first time I'd met Georgie, who's almost two, so I was pretty excited. It was lovely to see Sian again as well, and catch up on lots of things.

Divya and I had dinner with another friend of hers, and had a really nice evening chatting over Mexican food and frozen yoghurt. It's been so nice to meet some of her friends while I'm here!

I took quite a few photos of Georgie because I struggled with the focus. She didn't notice at all, she was so engrossed in Peppa Pig. Sian tried to get her to look up to no avail but I didn't mind too much. She's so adorable that any photo of her would be lovely, and I like how intensely she's concentrating.
