Fun With Pixels
I've been thinking a lot about Scotland lately. Planning my trip next May helps distract me from the news. This is a photo of a pillow I have highly faffed for the fun of it. I'm not sure if it is meant to be a thistle but I saw it as one. I am not a big fan of AI but this sort of digital manipulation is fun. It reminds me of a kind of needlework called bargello, a type of embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. The name originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence, which have a "flame stitch" pattern. Cold and windy day in store for us today. No signs of snow yet though.
I saw the extra and thought it was very funny. "Lady Liberty has given up on America and has moved to Scotland." A great idea I think.
