Reject

Earlier this year we found a dejected snapped twig and a couple of leaves in the reduced section a garden centre. Being suckers for a lost cause we donated the couple of quid and, accompanied by a pitying look from the lass on the counter, we smugly took it home.

With pretty much nothing than basic care (not by me I hasten to add) the orchid flourished and rewarded us with 3 or 4 blooms fairly quickly. After a brief rest it then went mad and threw out a new stem which for the past couple of months has been covered in flowers.
