Lake land reprise

Enjoyed my solo holiday days in the lakes so much I persuaded Gortex to spend a day. We walked round Derwent water and very lovely it was too. Went by easy steps via Winlatter to Crummock water and a swim - yes it was cold.
Small fly in the ointment was getting rear-ended on a country road. Just one of those split-second accidents. Actually a bad driver two cars ahead of us was the one who caused everyone to leap on the brakes but it's the car behind who will get the blame. Poor girl was distraught but nobody was hurt although her car looked a wreck. To the pub for a small much needed drink then fantastic fish and chips for tea before heading up the road to a BBQ and more food! I love the good weather!
