The Inverness Boat Race

For the second day running I am struggling. My mood is heavy and unforgiving. There’s a wee voice saying, ’You’re no use.’ At the same time some people are saying nice things about my book. All I can see are its faults, of which they are many. But I’m not depressed over a book, I’m depressed because my brain has done this to me. To quote Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) ‘There’s someone my head, but it’s not me.’
