Buddha Doredenma Statue

The first full day in Bhutan and we are discovering the area of Thimphu, including a 2 hours hike (the blip is from a viewpoint on this hike). The Buddha Statue is over 50 metres tall and also a fascinating place to visit (see extras, inside no photography allowed). 

Because we tore a hook off a hiking boot, we went to a shoemaker. He wasn't able to fit a new hook, but he was able to patch the hole with a piece of leather so that it wouldn't tear any further (see extra as well).
