Musing of a Lady

A Day Out

Little Man and I were invited to a party on the outskirts of Gouda. The party was for one of Little Man's friends from the nursery he went to in Oudewater. We went to Gouda before the party to get a present, before we biked on. The party was held in a jungle gym and I think the boys had a lot of fun. We stayed longer than I had planned for Little Man's sake.

We then came home. It wasn't raining but there was an awful misty drizzle, so my glasses were stowed safely in my jacket pocket and I was left squinting into the distance. I have astigmatism, which basically when the eye isn't round in shape, but shaped more like a rugby ball thus causing blurry, fuzzy or distorted vision. In other words, I'm near-sighted, but if its raining I find it easier to see with blurry vision, rather than trying to look through glasses covered in water. The rain on my glasses throws off the lights of oncoming cars.

I'd put some meat and vegetables into the slow cooker before we left this morning, so I just needed to cook some rice when we got home. I put Little Man in front of Fireman Sam, which he enjoys, and got the rice going. We then got ready for bed. He went down without a problem, as he was very tired after all the playing he did.
