Awkward day

We had the electrician in the house today so we’re without electric until 3.30. Amazing what you can’t do! But he worked really well, and electric is back on.
I had to pop out just before 8 am and while I was out I found 5p which in my day was a shilling, wow just thinking of what we’d have bought with that? A pound of broken biscuits for Gran, or two lots of pocket money. Certainly more than we would get today, I bought a litre of full cream milk (for rice pudding) for £1.75 pence so how much will that be with GST I can’t imagine. This 5p is a Bailiwick of Guernsey one, not many of my blipmates would have seen one. That’s it today.
