Salford Art Gallery

It was the presentation for winning art work at Salford Gallery this afternoon. I got the bus in to town….it was jam packed. One woman near the front asked if the next stop was for the gallery and a lad said yes, I was going to shout down the bus, “No, it’s the one after!” but she had got off already. Fortunately it was very close, in fact I got off at the right stop and she arrived just before me. A couple were chatting with her and I joined them and before we knew it we were a little group.

We went up to the North room and partook of refreshments. Our little group had a great chat and a laugh. The lady from the bus, Debbie, was there with her son who had a piece in the exhibition. None of us won anything, but we had a great time drinking wine, chatting and then we all went to catch the same bus home.

I entered so I could tick ‘having a piece of my art hung in a gallery’ ticked off my list. I met some lovely people and Debbie gave me her number as she wants to go for a wild swim sometime. Life is colourful and fun when you try new things.
