London

I caught the 8:04 to St Pancras, first stop Covent Garden, called in Paul for an apple pastry and a cuppa.

The Apple Market was decorated ready for Christmas, an opera singer was entertaining everyone on the lower level.

A wander to Neals Yard, Seven Dials and Soho, back on the Northern Line to my next destination.

A few hours in Highgate, lunch at Pizza Express then a wander down the hill to Highgate Cemetery. Spotted the graves of Karl Marx and George Michael (an unlikely combination).

A brief look at Holly Village from the sidelines, wonderful gothic architecture. Then a London bus to Archway station and onwards to Sloane Square and the Kings Road. Everywhere was very busy, I think I had reached my limit at this stage.

Liberty for a look at the beautiful flowers in the entrance and a quick look at the Christmas decorations. It was just too busy and difficult to have proper look at anything.

A final look at the beautiful angel Christmas lights above Regent Street and then back to St Pancras for the 19:02 train home.

A grand day out!
