Paddock-surfing

For those of you who thought I might have planted Bean during my bean-planting session yesterday...here she is surfing through the hay paddock on our friends' property this afternoon. 

I haven't done any gardening today. Most unusual. Instead I have been fully occupied in the kitchen - pasteurising milk, doing the next stage of yesterday's cheese, making ricotta. I turned all the cheeses in the cave, made a batch of mayonnaise and a tin-full of crackers.

The first cauliflower is ready to harvest in the tunnel. I shall pick it and have cauli-cheese tonight. One of my favourites. And it will be extra-delicious for being the first of the season.
