Autumn Blues
It’s Friday again, and after my nicely uneventful week, things are starting to happen—but in a good way! My lovely sister-in-law, Gail, has her 50th birthday party this weekend, and preparations have begun apace. Food and booze have been accumulating over the week, along with a variety of balloons, cake toppers, games and flowers. Vanessa has been writing a quiz for the evening; everyone loves a quiz…
The weather still hasn’t improved, so in the cold mists, I returned to the woods after the school run to find my photo for the day. There is no shortage of fallen leaves and autumnal colours, so I spent a happy half hour taking macro images of the woodland floor. In the evening, Ed and Tara joined us for supper, and just after ten, I drove into Dover to collect Monty from the station… he’s popping down from Loughborough for the party.
