Melaleuca Megalongensis ….

….or Callistomen Megalongensis depending on the school you attended. This bottlebrush is only found on the eastern side of Megalong Valley, in fact only lining Nellies Glen Road. It is indistinguishable from the common bottlebrush Melaleuca Citrina (extra) except when when they’re flowering. They flower in November but in the case of Megalongensis, not every November but it’s starting now and should be spectacular in a couple of weeks.
