No saffron flowers but....

... the minature roses that I tucked in the corner of the raised bed are budding nicely as are the alpine strawberries that are growing around the edge.

I made it back up to the plot to plant the rest of the garlic and do the necessary re-labelling.  There is one row of Messidrome (very large cloves) and 2 rows of Edenrose(much smaller, but more cloves). The names aren't showing on the extra, it was getting a bit dark but there they are clear in real life.  I'm going to pot up the spare cloves and keep them in the cold frame over winter as backups.
