16:20 Sunday afternoon…….time to light the lamps.

I’ve now been at home from hospital almost exactly a week at this point in time. Hardly seems possible. And to celebrate the sun was shining this morning,
Such a welcome relief!
It’s Remembrance Sunday here today, and we watched the service on TV,
I’ve been pottering about and also went up the garden in the actual warm sunshine after lunch, revelling in it!
Roses flowering, nasturtiums in bloom, geums and some winter flowering jasmine all bright and cheerful.
A couple of our friends from up the road dropped in, it was good to see them.
My phone rang a short while back, and it was the Ward Sister of the ward where I was staying, it was a lovely reassuring one, prefaced by, “ I am just ringing to see how you are getting on managing various things like pain, moving around , and if you have any questions,”
I did have one or two as it happened, so it was good to have the answers to those. I have no stitches! Which is amazing in itself, I am glued together! They all dissolve internally.,
Well soon be teatime and the lamps were lit around 4:00pm.
I have the lovely candle burning in the hearth.
It’s hard to ignore the news, but helps my equilibrium.
I cannot fix it. But at least give support to some important aid agencies,

I can hear an owl outside in the trees opposite.
