Remembrance Sunday
This is one of my dad’s war pictures. Stewart sat with him many years ago and put all of his photos into a big album. He wanted to make them into a photobook - maybe it’s something I should do now. Stewart and my dad always got on so well - they shared the same sense of humour. This picture was taken in August 1940, HMS ‘Collingwood’. My dad is the tall one on the back row, 4th from the left. The photo is mounted on thick card and it looks as though they’ve all signed it on the back. Looking at them all this afternoon I wondered what happened to each one and if they survived the war.
