Beheaded?

Something had knocked the tops off these fungi.... but so interesting to see the detail and I was attracted by the colour.
Blipped as we wandered around hotel grounds on the edge of Ashdown Forest. We met my brother and sister-in-law there as they had flown over from Mallorca for a birthday celebration. We had a catch-up over coffee and light pub lunch before dropping them off at the airport. Home now after a busy few days!
