Ghosts

It has been an unusual Sunday for me.

I was in the car and away at 08.30 for the 50 mile/58 minute drive to East Lothian to start the ball rolling on some family stuff. That time on a Sunday is about the only time to do the trip without the angst of Edinburgh traffic congestion.

Even on a Sunday a slightly later start would mean running into the "let's all drive to IKEA today" crowd, and suchlike hazards.

I timed it to perfection. I even drove across the Queensferry Crossing at 70mph in both directions! In the inside lane, no less!*

My destination did test my emotional resilience to its limits, but so far I am managing. I paid a brief visit to my parents's grave, just to say "hi". They chose a great spot, to be fair.

A golf course to the west (Craigielaw). Another to the north (Kilspindie). The Firth of Forth and Fife beyond (still under clouds this morning). Worth a Blip...

Back at home, I fortified that resilience this evening by cooking a mushroom and spinach curry.  Delicious. Great recipe.
