Empire Biscuits and Bread

Empire biscuits are traditional Scottish fare. I miss them down here so when Blipper - loulou164 put up the recipe I couldn’t wait to make them!
They are delicious and vegan too! Not perfect shapes because I was rushing ;-)
I also made the bread as we had run out. 
I’ve been looking for songs suitable for Liz and I to start practicing and came up with a few nice ones.
I phoned Christel our neighbour when we lived in Dumfries. She’ll be 90 in December but still getting on with life. 
Also phoned Sue, who is still waiting for a new hip and is practically immobile. She has been waiting 4 years. She is type 2 diabetic and they won’t do it till her blood sugars are stable. She is 74 and spends her days in bed. She has cut out carbs in her diet and she said her levels are slowly coming down.
A late tea today, we’re having burger, (Beyond Burger) chips and my yummy coleslaw. 
Then we’ll find something to watch on telly.
