River Greta
This is the river that flows through Keswick, passing Fitz Park and the original Derwent Pencil factory as it does so, joining the River Derwent before flowing into Basenthwaite Lake. Greta is Old Norse for stony river and just to the left of this photo, it is. This river caused a lot of flowing during Storm Desmond requiring the wall next to it to be raised and the bridge to be replaced.
