Golden winter sun

The light here in Akureyri was beautiful when I stepped out on our upper balcony around 11:00 this morning. We sometimes get those golden days during the winter months. 
It's been a really nice and lazy Sunday.
I enjoyed a long much-needed extra nap with the cat in the afternoon and then sat for a while drinking coffee and reading a new book I bought yesterday by one of my favourite Icelandic authors, Kristín Marja Baldursdóttir.
 
Kjötsúpa for dinner, nourishing for both body and soul. 

Today is also Father's Day in Iceland, celebrated every year on the second Sunday of November.
